the first snowfall

It's snowing...

Touching our cheeks as we make our way down to the eastside for the Culture crawl. Stopping to cross the road, a young boy looks up at me and smiles.

It is the first time he has seen snow, his father tells me in a thick African accent, hiding under his umbrella.

His son just holds his hands out and laughs, catching snowflakes on his tongue.

Somehow, the day seems a litte brighter afterwards.

Oh, I like this one very much. :)
Hugs to start your week. I went for a nice long walk in the snow we got tonight. Brilliant and good for the soul

Your words just put a huge smile on my face this bright sunny Monday morning!
No snow here...we've switched coasts temporarily, I think!

How gorgeous was that moment for you?
Made me smile through the good old English rain.

That's very cool, one of those tiny yet perfect moments people need more of.

This is a fabulous blog you have, by the way. ^_^

Pixie: And some massive hugs to you too!

Chloe: It's great to see you back! And yes, there was so much joy in his face... I wish I could remember when something so simple brought me that much joy!

Cathy: I think we have switched coasts, people keep telling me this isn't normal but I don't believe them!

Rach: Thank you - the moment was very magical. I think I smiled the rest of the way home.

Erikk(u): Thank you and welcome

Indiana: Can you remember what it feels like to have that innocence? I'd love to remember it - even for the briefest of moments...

Oh, so you are a lover of gay aquatic super heroes?

Well, I am shocked and outraged!

H-m-m-m-m...

You are one of those bad girls!

I'm telling mom and dad...

Welcome Dirk. Indeed, I have, in the past, been referred to what is affectionally coined *a hag*. My love for Gay Super Heroes knows no limit.
But regarding the bad girl tag, my dearest, I am a Lady. And a Lady never divulges...

We went to see this artist, not for the faint of heart, and ended up seeing some amazing local artists as well...

Well, that's the great thing about this Blogosphere; you learn about more than just the usual provincial shizzle. My nizzle.

It snowed, really snowed for the first time last night. Enormous flakes that fell for two or three hours. In my hipster, cooler than thou neighborhood, people were outside, heads tilted upwards, just laughing. It was awesome and your post so brought me back to that moment.
